Organizational Structure

The HIRSP Authority Board of Directors and its staff are responsible for approving the program budget and administrative contracts, overseeing performance standards for the plan administrator, collecting assessments from insurers, and other duties as outlined by state law. The members are nominated by the governor, and with the advice and consent of the senate appointed for three year terms. The Commissioner of Insurance, or designee, also sits on the board as a non-voting member.
